Holden Beach

We spent the last week an a half in Holden Beach, NC. The black stuff on the beach is ash and burnt wood from a huge fire 50 miles away in Myrtle Beach. The fire destroyed 70+ homes and has burned 31 square miles. The ash traveled both up and down the coast for almost 100 miles. But, it was still a beach and I still had fun.

Hiking in the Sierra Madre Mountains

Mom and Dad let me hike part of the way on The Big Santa Anita Canyon Trail down to Sturtevant Falls, but I kept getting distracted by the huge rocks. It's a nice hike of a couple miles and covers about 1,800 feet in elevation.

Learning to Walk on the Sand

After a couple of minutes, and a bunch of falls, I finally learned how to walk on the beach. From then on out, I really enjoyed playing, experimenting and digging in the sand. This video was taken at Long Beach in California.
